Sonia Jew has over 13 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. In 2021, they became the Lead Investor at Climate Avengers. From 2019-2021, they were the VP of Business Development at Solar.com, a brand of parent company Electrum, building America's Most Trusted Solar Marketplace. From 2015-2019, they held the same role at Electrum, as well as serving as a Board Observer. From 2015-2021, they were an Investor and Advisory Board Member at UtilityAPI. From 2014-2021, they were an Investor at Folsom Labs. From 2015-2016, they were the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solar Merchant, which was fully acquired by PickMySolar Corp. in April 2016. From 2013-2015, they were the Western Region Sales Manager, Americas at Chint Power Systems Americas. From 2008-2011, they were the Sales Manager, DG Projects Group at SunEdison. From 2008-2011, they were a Project Developer at Axio Power, which was acquired by SunEdison in June 2011. From 2007-2008, they were in Marketing & Communications at First Solar.

Sonia Jew attended the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. Sonia then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, specializing in Entrepreneurship.
