Jouni Ahtinen

Jouni Ahtinen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jouni started their career in 2004 as a Product Manager at Medicel Oy, where they were responsible for the development and commercialization of a novel bioprocess system. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Scientist in Technical R&D at Novartis Pharma AG, focusing on antibody and protein production.

In 2012, Jouni joined VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland as a Key Account Manager in Industrial Biotechnology. Jouni'srole involved identifying new value chains and business concepts in the bio- and circular economy context and setting up collaboration projects with industrial partners for renewable chemicals and fuels production.

From 2016 to 2019, Jouni worked as an International Sales and Sourcing Manager at Yhtyneet Medix Laboratoriot Oy, specializing in clinical laboratory diagnostics for healthcare professionals. Jouni was responsible for exploring and opening new business activities in international markets.

In 2019, Jouni briefly worked as a Freelance Consultant at Solar Foods. Following that, they joined Vita Laboratoriot Oy as a Sales Manager for Clinical Diagnostics. In this role, they managed key accounts in both private and public healthcare, developed the product portfolio, and launched new products.

Currently, Jouni Ahtinen holds the position of Vice President of Production at Solar Foods, starting in December 2022.

Jouni Ahtinen obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Helsinki, where they studied from 2000 to 2007.
