Senni Lehtonen

Senni Lehtonen's work experience includes a role as a Research Specialist at Solar Foods starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Master's Thesis Worker at VTT from 2022 to 2023. In 2021, they were a Research Assistant at Aalto University, where they were a member of the Biomolecular Materials research group and gained experience in silk protein production and purification, as well as animal cell culturing. Before their research roles, Senni worked as a Process Operator at Sinebrychoff in 2020 and 2019. Senni also has sales experience, having worked as a Salesperson at HOK-Elanto in 2018 and from 2016 to 2017.

Senni Lehtonen began their education in 2013 at the Normal Lyceum of Helsinki, where they obtained a Matriculation Examination in 2016. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Aalto University in 2017 and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Bio- and Chemical Technology. During their undergraduate studies, Senni Lehtonen also acquired a hygiene certification from the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira in November 2016.

In 2019, Senni Lehtonen participated in an exchange program and spent a semester at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where they focused on Chemical Engineering. Following their exchange semester, they returned to Aalto University and pursued a Master of Science in Life Science Technologies, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
