Glynis’s leadership with sustainable schools is renowned; sharing her knowledge with others through hosting conferences, mentoring students and helping schools adopt a more sustainable approach. She has worked in primary education (with 5-11 year olds) for over 35 years and during the last 20 years has promoted education for sustainable development. Her former school, where she was headteacher, is an outstanding rural primary school, which has Eco-Schools Ambassador status and is a beacon of best practice. Glynis has also been awarded an Eco-Schools' Hero Award recognising her commitment to sharing good practise in schools across the North West of the UK. She has been involved in a number of programmes of study and continues to look at new ways to achieve education for sustainable development in practice.
