Wendy Litherland

Education Advisor at Solar for Schools

Wendy is keen for all educators, teachers and parents, to make a difference to their children’s education. As a secondary science teacher for nearly 20 years, Wendy has transformed the secondary school (11-18 year olds) where she currently works, into a leading school for sustainability through pupil initiatives. Her enthusiasm, drive and determination has helped the school gain the TES Award, Climate Week Award and the SSAT national sustainable schools award and a plethora of local awards. Wendy remains as committed today as ever to finding ways to deliver education about sustainable development, knowing her students will require these as more university degrees require knowledge of sustainable practice and more employers demand environmental considerations and awareness among their employees.
