Priyanka Biswas

Priyanka Biswas is currently a Senior Research Engineer I at Solar Gard Saint-Gobain, having joined the company in June 2023. Prior to this, Priyanka served as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from August 2018 to August 2023, focusing on the development and characterization of oxime-modified activated carbon and polymeric materials for nerve agent detoxification. Additionally, Priyanka worked as a Teaching Assistant for Chemistry 1 labs, facilitating undergraduate experiments and managing lab supplies. Previous experience includes a Graduate Engineering Trainee position at Arvind Limited, where antimicrobial and moisture management properties of polyester fabrics were enhanced, and an In-Plant Trainee role at Archroma, involved in implementing various textile finishes. Priyanka also held the position of Design Head for Sportsaga ICT, the largest sports festival in Maharashtra. Academic credentials include a PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor's Degree in Fibres and Textiles Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
