Christopher Raup joined Con Edison in 2006. As a project specialist in the Energy Markets Policy Group, Chris represented the Company at the NYISO and PJM, and participated in gas pipeline rate cases representing the Company’s interests. Mr. Raup was one of the original employees when the Company established a State Regulatory Affairs Department in 2009. In 2015 he joined Con Edison’s Demonstration Projects team, and was promoted to a director in the Utility of the Future team in 2016, leading the Company’s efforts to advocate for utility ownership of renewable generation with the PSC. In 2019, Chris returned to the Demonstration Projects team as director, leading the team developing electric vehicle programs and innovative energy efficiency, battery storage and rate design efforts. In 2019, Chris joined the State Regulatory Affairs team as director, expanding the team and working on the Company’s Pandemic Response Team as a full-time member for four months in 2020. In October 2021 Chris was promoted to a vice president role, overseeing the group comprised of State Regulatory Affairs team and Energy Markets Policy Group. Prior to Con Edison, Mr. Raup worked primarily as an engineer for nine years at Brooklyn Union Gas/KeySpan Energy, in positions of increasing responsibility, with rotations in Natural Gas Vehicles and Strategic Planning. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union in 1996, and in 2006 he earned an MBA from the Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Business in the Netherlands.
