Majora Carter

Director at Solar One

Majora Carter is the Director at Solar One and has an extensive background in research and policy. Majora previously worked as an Air Quality Research Adviser with El Puente de Williamsburg, Inc., where they examined, tracked, and monitored air quality and pollution in South Williamsburg. Majora also worked as a Principal Investigator with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, leading research on digital tools usage by small businesses in low income communities. In addition, they have worked as a Social Impact Strategist & Consultant with Majora Carter Group, LLC and as a Policy Adviser to Honduras Permanent Mission with the United Nations. Most recently, they worked as a Day Laborer Center Manager with Worker's Justice Project (WJP).

Majora Carter has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public and Urban Policy from The New School, a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy in Climate Change from Vermont Law and Graduate School, and Bachelors of Science; Bachelors of Arts in Business, Environmental Studies, and Environmental Management from Green Mountain College.
