Patricia M. Grayson joined the Solar One Board in 2016. She was formerly Vice President for Development of the Children’s Aid Society (CAS), a nonprofit serving high-need children and families in New York City. She led the organization’s fundraising, public relations, marketing and volunteer services departments, raising private funding of $21 million annually and $283 million from 2001-2013. Prior to joining CAS, Patricia was Director of Development for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF), responsible for fundraising for litigation, advocacy, and public education and management of regional fundraising and advisory board committees. For more than a decade, Patricia was Vice President for Planning and Development at National Medical Fellowships, Inc., a nonprofit focusing on increasing the number of underrepresented minority physicians and improving access to quality healthcare in medically underserved communities. At NMF she developed new partnerships with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, Harvard School of Public Health, and the National Institutes of Health. Patricia graduated with High Honors from the University of Michigan LSA Honors Program and received a Master’s Degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, in Administration, Planning and Social Policy. She has served on several nonprofit boards.
