Zheng Gan

Jon Gan has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Zheng (Jon) is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at NRG Energy since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Plus Power from 2022 to 2022, where they led AI algorithm development for the auto-trading software platform in the wholesale electricity market for grid-scale battery systems. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at NRG Energy from 2019 to 2022. Jon also has experience working as a Senior Data Scientist at Core Laboratories from 2013 to 2019, and as a Staff Data Analyst at CGG from 2012 to 2013.

Zheng (Jon) Gan pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they completed in 2007. After that, they attended Rice University, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics in 2012.
