Julia Herbst is an experienced professional in the fields of landscape design, environmental education, and renewable energy. Currently serving as the Gulf Coast Solar Program Associate at Solar United Neighbors since January 2018, Julia focuses on helping Florida residents adopt solar energy through community co-op initiatives. Previous roles include Landscape Designer and Owner at Oikos Design Landscape Planning & Construction, where Julia emphasized native plantings and habitat enrichment, and AmeriCorps Regional Coordinator for Pennsylvania Mountain Service Corps, supporting over 160 members and multiple non-profit agencies. Julia's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and extensive ongoing professional development in horticulture and environmental training.
