James Irons

James Irons is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and finance. Currently serving as Chairperson and Investor at Open Access Energy Pty Ltd since January 2021, Irons also holds positions as a Board Member at Starsight SolarAfrica since October 2023 and Co-Founder, Investor at SolarAfrica since January 2012, a company focused on clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial markets. Irons has invested in several companies including Enpower Trading and AgriGas Africa, while previously holding an executive role at Unifii.solar until August 2023. Leadership experience includes serving as EO Winelands President within the Entrepreneurs' Organization from July 2020 to June 2021. Irons' financial acumen was developed through roles at KPMG as a Senior Associate and Supervisor, complemented by a strong educational background with qualifications from the CFA Institute, University of Pretoria, and The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
