Simon Zimmermann

Simon Zimmermann is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in social innovation and sustainable development. As the CEO and Founder of SOLARBAKERY since March 2020, Simon has focused on introducing sustainable bakery production in fast-growing markets in the global South. In addition, Simon founded and serves as Chairman of the Board of Ya Bana Global Care e.V. and has held leadership positions in various organizations, including Founder and President of Centre Ya Bana NGO and past Chairman of the Board at Kinder Afrikas e.V. Simon's educational background includes a B.A. in Management of Social Innovation from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, complemented by a high school diploma from Kirkwood Sr. High School.
