Paul McDonald

Paul McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Paul is currently working as a Chemical Engineer at SOLARCYCLE since April 2023. Prior to that, they co-founded knowlie in June 2021 and served as a Co-Founder until May 2023, where they helped people choose their own path to mental wellness. In 2020, they held two roles simultaneously as a Managing Director at Virtual Escape Room from June 2020 to May 2023 and Saorsa, LLC from March 2020 to May 2023. Before that, they worked at PowerPlan, Inc. from May 2018 to March 2020 as a Manager, and held various roles including Lead Technical Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Software Implementation Consultant from July 2017 to May 2018, July 2016 to June 2017, and October 2014 to July 2016, respectively. Paul also worked as a Combustion Process Engineer at Praxair from September 2012 to October 2014 and as a Plant Start-Up Engineer Intern at Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation from May 2011 to August 2011.

Paul McDonald attended Vanderbilt University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Paul has also obtained several additional certifications, including an edX Verified Certificate for Machine Learning with Python-From Linear Models to Deep Learning in December 2021, an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python in August 2021, an edX Verified Certificate for Probability - The Science of Uncertainty and Data in August 2021, an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science in May 2021, and a Verified Certification for passing the edX/DelftX course ET3034x: Solar Energy in August 2020.
