Product Development Team Lead at SolarDuck

Sami Alhelali has held multiple roles in the energy tech industry since 2018. In that year, they began as an Intern - Founder's Associate at TYT, a startup developing Floating Solar Technologies. In this role, they were responsible for programming and developing automated feasibility studies toolkit for eight different business models and regulation cases of solar PV installations, as well as conducting a Solar PV and Floating Solar PV market analysis, regulation review, and competitor analysis for eight countries in the MENA region. Sami was then promoted to Business Development Manager - Founding Employee at TYT in 2018, where they attended international fairs and exhibitions to build partnerships and establish relations with clients, and created a sales pipeline of over 1GW of Floating solar projects supported with MoU's and LOI with over 25 major clients in several countries. In 2021, they moved to Hydrosolar\u00ae as Growth Director, successfully applying to and participating in the UK government's Global Entrepreneur Program. In 2022, they joined SolarDuck as a Value Engineer, and also began working at Young Guru Academy (YGA) as a YGA Mentor. In this role, they provided technical advisory for YGA's environmental impact-driven innovation program for high school students, gave 1-1 monthly mentorship sessions to 2 middle school high-potential Syrian students who graduated from YGA program, and provided mentorship and leadership training on teamwork, emotional resilience, time management, communication and etc via weekly meetings to a group of 6 high-potential high school or university students selected from YGA leadership program. Finally, in 2022, they joined Entrix as a Founders Associate, working very closely with the leadership team on a broad range of strategic initiatives including initiating the expansion of Entrix' product to the co-location of battery storage and renewable generation.

Sami Alhelali began their education in 2010 at Aleppo College - American School. Sami then attended Gaziantep Üniversitesi from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Engineering Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Double Major).
