Prof. Gerard de Leede serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Solarge since April 2018 and holds a board member position at SolarNL from October 2023. In academia, Prof. de Leede has been a Professor of Practice in Smart Cities at Jheronimus Academy of Data Science and focuses on Smart Energy and Smart Buildings. Previous roles include Senior Consultant at de Leede Consulting and CTO at Heijmans, where responsibilities encompassed innovation strategy and technology management. With a strong entrepreneurial background, Prof. de Leede also co-founded SCX Solar and established Intellisol NV. Earlier in their career, leadership roles included CEO at GS Improve BV and R&D department manager at TNO. Prof. de Leede's education includes a PhD in Engineering Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology.
