Mehdy Touil

Mehdy Touil has a strong background in the LNG industry, with extensive experience in operations and technical roles. Mehdy started their career at Sonatrach as a Field Operations Technician in 2002 and worked there until 2006. Mehdy then joined Qatargas in 2006 as an LNG Field Operator, and over the years, they advanced to the roles of LNG Senior Operator and LNG Panel Operator. In their role at Qatargas, Mehdy was responsible for operating a 3.3MTPA LNG train and was involved in various processes such as acid gas removal, dehydration, and refrigeration loops. Mehdy also played a key role in shutdowns, problem identification, and team supervision. In 2017, Mehdy joined Yamal LNG as an LNG Senior Panel Operator, where they worked until 2022. During their time at Yamal LNG, they gained valuable experience and expertise in LNG operations. Following their tenure at Yamal LNG, Mehdy joined Capstone Industrial Training Solutions in 2022 as an LNG Operations Specialist & Design SME. Currently, they are working at Solaris MCI as an LNG Operations Specialist.

Mehdy Touil received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria between the years 2020 and 2022. Prior to this, Mehdy attended the Algerian Petroleum Institute from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Operations and specialized in LNG Process. In addition to their degrees, Mehdy also holds certifications, including the Plant Engineering and Design Foundations Certificate from the International Institute of Plant Engineering and Design, obtained in July 2016. Mehdy also obtained the TEF certification from Le français des affaires de la CCI Paris Ile-de-France in January 2020, as well as the IELTS certification from the British Council in December 2019.
