William Tang has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. William started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Evraz Regina (formerly known as IPSCO) in 2003. In 2005, they joined ATCO Pipelines as a Pipeline Engineer, where they worked until 2009. At ATCO Pipelines, they gained experience in pipeline engineering. In 2009, they joined Solaris MCI, where they have held multiple roles. Currently, they are a Senior Pipeline Engineer and also serves as the Department Head of Pipeline Engineering. In these positions, they lead pipeline projects and serves as the Engineer of Record for various gathering and transmission systems. William is responsible for coordinating and supporting project execution and managing department resources and budgets. Additionally, they provide mentorship and professional development to their team members.
William Tang attended the University of Alberta from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Materials Engineering.

As well, Solaris is a consortium member of the Natural Gas Futures (NGF) Group under the University of British Columbia's Clean Energy Research Centre, promoting sustainable solutions for the responsible use of natural gas.
