Head of Business Development: East Africa at Solarise Africa

Moses Banturaki has extensive work experience in the energy and clean technology industry. Moses is currently serving as the Head of Business Development: East Africa at Solarise Africa, a pan-African Energy-as-a-Service company. In this role, they contribute to the company's smart financing solutions and plays a key role in driving Africa's progress in the renewable energy sector.

Prior to their current position, Moses worked at the Danish Cleantech Group from 2015 to 2021. Moses began as a Sales Director, where they played a crucial role in the company's sales operations. Later, they were promoted to the position of Managing Director, where they managed operations in Kenya and Uganda. Their responsibilities included signing purchase orders, completing feasibility studies, and overseeing the company's solar projects in Uganda, Kenya, and Congo.

Moses began their career at Motorcare Uganda in 1999 as a Sales & Network Development Manager. During their 14-year tenure, they developed and executed business plans for four new business units and successfully managed an $8 million branch expansion project. Moses also played a significant role in establishing Motorcare Uganda's first regional office in Hoima and opened two new branch and service offices in Mbarara and Gulu in collaboration with Total Uganda.

Moses Banturaki's education history consists of three notable study programs. In 1990, they attended Makerere University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Public Administration, completing the program in 1994. In 2007, they enrolled in the University of Stellenbosch for an Executive Development Program in Business Administration and Management. Finally, in 2009, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam for another Executive Development Program in the field of Business Administration and Management, completing the program later that year.
