Julian Dow

Julian Dow has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Julian began their career as a Harkness fellow at Temple University in 1981, followed by a Research Fellowship at St Catharine's College, University of Cambridge in 1983. Julian then moved to King Saud University in 2009, where they served as a Professor until 2012. In 1999, they joined the University of Glasgow as a Professor and later took on the role of College International Lead from 2013 to 2017. Concurrently, Julian also served as the International Dean for the Middle East at the University of Glasgow from 2014 to 2018. Currently, Julian holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at SOLASTA Bio, starting in 2020.

Julian Dow's education history begins with their attendance at King's School, Gloucester from 1961 to 1974. Julian then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge from 1974 to 1977, earning a Bachelor of Arts (MA) degree in Zoology. Following this, Julian continued their education at the University of Cambridge from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Zoology. In 2007, Julian also attended the University of Cambridge for a brief period, focusing on a Sc.D. degree in Zoology.
