Brian Herr

Brian Herr has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Brian currently holds the position of Senior Vice President & General Manager at Solect Energy since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Vail Resorts as a Race Coach since November 1989. Brian also served as a Board Member at Framingham State University Board of Trustees from January 2015 to January 2022 and at the Town of Hopkinton, MA from May 2007 to May 2021. Brian held various roles at WESCO Distribution from July 1994 to March 2015, including Branch Manager, National Marketing Manager, District Manager, and Account Executive. Brian began their career as a Sales Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company from January 1985 to July 1994. Brian was a Board Member at MetroWest Regional Transit Authority from January 2009 to July 2019 and served as Vice President of Business Development at Solect Energy from April 2015 to July 2020. Brian also worked as Vice President at Catalyze from August 2020 to April 2021.

Brian Herr attended Fairview High School from 1976 to 1980, where they pursued a college preparatory curriculum. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh from 1980 to 1984, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Following a break in their education, Brian Herr then pursued further studies at Harvard University from 1989 to 1994. At Harvard, they pursued a Master of Liberal Arts degree with a focus on Government.
