Vice President and General Manager, Land Systems at Leonardo DRS

Aaron Hankins is the Vice President and General Manager of Land Systems at Leonardo DRS. Aaron has been with the company since January 1995, and in their current position since October 2004. Prior to that, they were a Systems Engineer with The Boeing Company.

During their time with Boeing, Hankins managed General Dynamics and Honeywell subcontract teams on the F/A-18 Advanced Mission Computer (AMC) program. Aaron was also responsible for product development, cost/schedule adherence, risk management, and formal qualification testing efforts. In addition, they served as team lead for the implementation and adherence of CMMI Level 3 business practices.

Hankins is a highly skilled and experienced manager, who has successfully completed the company’s rigorous Pre-Management Assessment Process. Aaron is a proven leader with a strong track record of success in the aerospace industry.

Aaron Hankins has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, with a focus in finance and organizational behavior. Aaron also has a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science - BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the same school.

Their manager is William J. Lynn III, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Philip Perconti - CTO, Timothy Day - Vice President and General Manager, Daylight Solutions, and Dave Fields - Vice President and General Manager, Global Enterprise Solutions.
