SVP and Chief Information Officer at Solenis

Charles Wallace brings more than 25 years of diverse Information Technology (IT) experience to his position as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at Solenis. Most notably, after Solenis was established in 2014, he built the IT department from the ground up, becoming an independent operation in less than a year, accompanied by the establishment of a Global Shared Services group in less than three years.

Today, Wallace leads a global team that is leveraging a broad array of mobile, digital platforms to help Solenis employees worldwide increase their competitiveness and achieve business goals in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Before joining Solenis, he was senior vice president and CIO at Ashland Inc., where he had similar responsibilities. Prior to that, Wallace served as vice president and CIO for business technology systems at Keystone Foods. In this position, he spearheaded global collaboration with internal and external customers that enabled the essential technology business systems for the IT needs of the company. Wallace was previously employed by Rohm and Haas Company, where he held positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 1992. He was corporate IT chief technology architect before being named chief technology architect and director for the global IT infrastructure group in 2005. His IT career also includes several years in the banking, retail and manufacturing industries.

Wallace holds a master of business administration from Villanova University. He has participated in professional workshops and certification programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Duke University and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Wallace is an active supporter and board member of a number of organizations, including NPower PA, the African American Museum of Philadelphia, YMCA, United Way of SEPA and Red Cross SEPA. He has been recognized by several leading industry organizations, including CIO Magazine’s “Ones to Watch 2008,” Black MBA Magazine’s “Top 50 Under 50 2008” and Smart CXO Magazine.
