Jeroen Koppes

Jeroen Koppes has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jeroen began their career at Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland as an intern, where they worked on optimizing sludge dewatering. Jeroen then moved on to TU Delft, where they completed an internship focused on designing an anaerobic wastewater treatment plant in the Philippines.

After that, Jeroen worked at Unilever, where they completed their BSc thesis. Jeroen then joined Wageningen University & Research, where they conducted their MSc thesis in Amman, Jordan.

In 2000, Jeroen started working at Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company. Jeroen held various positions there, including Senior Research Engineer, Research & Development Project Leader, Product Manager, Manager of Innovation & Solution Marketing, and Corporate Account Manager. During their time at Nalco Water, Jeroen was responsible for managing the industrial water treatment needs of global Fortune 500 clients, developing new technologies, and leading a technical marketing team.

In 2017, Jeroen became the business owner of their own consultancy, specializing in water and wastewater. Jeroen provided consultancy services until 2019 when they joined Solenis as the Marketing Manager for EMEA. Currently, Jeroen serves as the Global Marketing Director for Solenis' global industrial and municipal water technologies division, where they are responsible for strategic marketing management.

Jeroen Koppes completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Technology at Delft University Netherlands from 1994 to 1998. Jeroen then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Wastewater Engineering, Environmental Engineering & Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University & Research from 1998 to 2000. In 2004 to 2005, they attended Wateropleidingen Netherlands where they studied Hogere Techniek Afvalwaterzuivering (HTAZ) - Wastewater Treatment Operations & Design. In 2010, they briefly studied Advanced Industrial Marketing Strategy at INSEAD.
