Jose Santolaya

Jose Santolaya has extensive work experience in the chemical industry, primarily in roles related to product management and engineering. Jose began their career at Ashland in 1998, where they started as a Production Manager and eventually worked their way up to Senior Business Manager, responsible for managing the Sizing and Wet strength business unit in Europe. Jose also served as a Process Technology Manager, leading a team of engineers and overseeing process technology across multiple plants and business units in Europe.

In 2013, Jose joined Solenis as a Global Product Director, where they had P&L responsibility for the Sizing and Wet Strength business units globally. Jose later took on the role of Senior Director, Product Management and Marketing EMEA, and then Senior Director, Product Management and Equipment Engineering EMEA, overseeing the Consumer Solutions and Industrial Solutions divisions. In both roles, they managed teams of marketers, product managers, and customer equipment engineers, and was responsible for 14 sbu's with sales of over 1 billion dollars.

Throughout their career, Jose has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a track record of managing and growing business units.

Jose Santolaya received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1993. Jose then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Food Technology and Processing from The University of Georgia, completing it in 1996. In 2003, Jose attended Esade and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Prior to their higher education, Jose attended the British Council School in Madrid, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
