Kathryn Smith

Kathryn Smith has extensive experience in scientific research and laboratory management, currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist and Lab Manager at Solenis since February 2012. Prior to this role, Kathryn worked as a Research Technician in the Biology Department at the University of Pennsylvania from October 2009 to May 2011, where responsibilities included providing technical assistance in a molecular microbiology lab. Kathryn's earlier experience includes a position as a Lab Assistant at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute from July 2008 to October 2009, where tasks involved supporting microscopy operations in a high-throughput imaging center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University (2017-2019) and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biological Sciences and Art (Painting) from the University of Delaware (2005-2008).
