Philip Patterson is senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for Solenis, where he is responsible for all financial activities of the company, including accounting, treasury and financial planning and analysis.

Prior to joining Solenis, Patterson served as senior vice president of strategy and CFO for CP Kelco, a division of the J.M. Huber Corporation that manufactures specialty hydrocolloids derived from natural raw materials.

Patterson started at Huber in 2010 as the CFO for the Engineered Materials division, where he served until his promotion to CFO of CP Kelco in 2011. Patterson was elevated to senior vice president in 2013 and was responsible for the CFO, IT, Trade Compliance and Risk functions, and eventually Global Strategy and Pricing as well.

Prior to joining Huber, Patterson served as CFO for the Aqualon Group (a division of Hercules Incorporated). His earlier professional experience also includes management and financial and reporting responsibilities for various divisions within Associated British Foods (ABF) as well as the Campbell Soup Company. He began his career in the audit division of Price Waterhouse LLP.

Patterson holds an executive Master of Business Administration in finance and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware, as well as his certified public accountant license. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants. Most recently he has completed course work in strategy at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
