Hans Hofland

Hans Hofland is an accomplished professional in drug discovery and preclinical development, currently serving as VP at Soleno Therapeutics, Inc. since November 2025 and President of SF Bay BioInsights Consulting, LLC since December 2023. Previously, Hans held the position of SVP Preclinical Development at Turn Biotechnologies and co-founded Evommune, where Hans also served as Senior Vice President of Research. Hans's extensive experience includes roles as VP of Research and Nonclinical Development at Dermira, Inc., and Sr. Director of Pharmacology & Skin Biology at Stiefel, a GSK company. Earlier in Hans's career, roles included Director of Pharmacology at Connetics Corporation and Director of Research at OPTIME Therapeutics. Hans started in the pharmaceutical field as a Section Manager at Aventis (Gencell) and a Research Scientist at Somatix Therapy Corp. Hans earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Leiden University between 1987 and 1992.
