Gary Swayze

Industrial Designer - Design & Product Development at Solex Thermal Science

Gary Swayze has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Gary began their career in 1984 as a Conveyor Systems Builder/Fabricator at KWI/Kott Group Inc. In 1987, they joined Coates Industrial Automation as a Centrifugal Feeder Systems Designer/Builder, gaining experience in design, manufacturing, project management, and customer relations.

In 1989, Gary joined Autofeed Corporation as a Mechanical Designer/Builder, Project Manager, specializing in vibratory parts feeding systems. Gary also worked at Flow International from 1996 to 1998 as the Manager of the Feeder Systems Business Unit. Furthermore, in 1990, they worked part-time as a Technical Consultant for Durisol, where they contributed to the transition from manual drafting to Computer Aided Design.

Gary's career at Durisol began in 1998 when they joined as the Design Manager and became part of the Senior Management Team. Gary brought with him 11 years of experience in manufacturing design, assembly, and project management. As the Manager of Engineering & Design, they led continuous improvement efforts in the design process until their departure in 2019.

Most recently, in 2022, Gary started working at Solex Thermal Science as an Industrial Designer, focusing on design and product development.

Gary Swayze attended Mohawk College from 1983 to 1984, where they studied Architectural Technology/Technician. Gary did not obtain a degree during this time.
