Sergio Balcells

Sergio Balcells has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to the present. Sergio is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Solfy.net, where they aim to make solar energy accessible to every household and business in the country. Sergio has also served as an investor and mentor for various start-up companies such as Tattoox, Teterum, Omnidrone, Epinium, Naak, Saviler, Braibook, and Sounds Market. In addition, they have held multiple roles as an entrepreneur, CEO, country manager, and general manager of various internet marketplaces and classifieds. Sergio has also worked as the Country Manager for Welcome to the Jungle France and Welcome to the Jungle España, where they focused on delivering content and implementing business strategies. Prior to this, they were the General Manager for Job Today Spain and Milanuncios, where they played a crucial role in their growth and monetization. Sergio has also held positions as the General Manager of the Motor Verticals at Schibsted Classified Media Spain and as a visiting professor and mentor for start-ups at Fundació Tecnocampus Mataró-Maresme. Sergio is a graduate of IESE Business School's PDG program.

Sergio Balcells' education history is as follows:

From 1983 to 1995, Sergio attended Colegio San Igancio (Jesuitas Barcelona) where they completed their EGB, BUP y COU studies.

In 1995, they enrolled at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and pursued a degree in Business Administration (Lic en Admón y Dirección de Empresas), which they completed in 1999.

Afterwards, in 1999, Sergio continued their studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, this time focusing on Law (Licenciado en Derecho). Sergio completed this degree in 2002.

In 2013, they attended IESE Business School and obtained a PDG in Business.

In the same year, Sergio also enrolled in a PDG (Programa Dirección General) at IESE Business School, though the specific field of study is not mentioned.

In 2018, Sergio pursued a coaching certification and attended Coaches Training Institute CTI Co-active, where they obtained a Coach degree in Coaching in 2019.
