Dalien Hamman

Dalien Hamman has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Most recently, they worked as a Finance Manager at Solid State PLC starting in September 2021. Prior to this, they spent five years as a Senior Management Accountant at Prime plc, where they supported the Group Financial Controller in providing accounting and management reporting. During this time, they were responsible for tasks such as management accounting, cash flow management, and preparing year-end management accounts.

Before joining Prime plc, Dalien worked at Apex Credit Management for ten years. In their role as an Assistant Management Accountant, they managed the sales invoice/ledger team and ensured a robust client invoicing and reporting process. Dalien also reviewed KPIs, conducted performance appraisals, and continuously reviewed objectives. Prior to this, they held the position of Assistant Accountant, where they maintained accurate records of costs and revenue, prepared management accounts, and complied with strict deadlines.

Dalien began their career as an Accounts Assistant, where they were responsible for training and overseeing the Accounts Clerk. Dalien also updated ledgers, prepared trial balances, and reconciled bank balances. Dalien then transitioned to the role of a Sales Ledger Clerk, where they reconciled daily funds, performed balance sheet reconciliations, and generated client invoices. Additionally, they worked as a Banking Assistant, performing general administrative and daily banking duties, including processing cheques, cash, and postal orders. Dalien'sfirst role in the industry was as a Trace Administrator, where they inputted names and address information into computer programs to locate new addresses and issued correspondence when necessary.

Dalien Hamman's education history begins with obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the Central University of Technology, Free State in the year 2004. This degree is comparable to a British Bachelor (Honours) degree. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, Dalien completed a National Diploma in Office Management & Technology at the same university. This diploma is at the comparable standard of a BTEC / SQA Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Foundation degree. Later, Dalien pursued further education in Accounting and Finance and completed the Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) program at Kaplan Financial in Birmingham, with graduation occurring in 2015.
