Jane Boehm

Jane (Karetny) Boehm is an experienced professional in food waste management and sustainability, currently serving as the Food Waste Programs Administrator for the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) since 2021. In this role, Jane leads the development of food waste initiatives for various stakeholders in Central Ohio. Previous positions include Outreach Coordinator at the Sustainable Agriculture Education Association, Executive Committee Member at One Linden Cooperatives, and a variety of roles focused on environmental education and project management with organizations such as Earth Matter NY and the Student Conservation Association. Jane holds multiple advanced degrees from The Ohio State University in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning, and Environmental Science - Agroecology, along with an Advanced Certificate in Public Health from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Stony Brook University.
