Richard Mataya

Richard Mataya is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in solid-state storage and systems engineering. Currently serving as the DC NAND SSD Principal Architect at Solidigm, Mataya specializes in datacenter storage solutions. Prior to this role, Mataya held positions such as Senior Director of Systems Engineering at MaxLinear, Co-Founder and EVP at NGD Systems, and Senior Director of SSD Hardware Engineering at Western Digital. With over two decades in the industry, experience spans various leadership roles focusing on developing high-performance SSD products for diverse applications across multiple companies, including STEC, Memtech SSD Corp, and Bit Micro. Mataya holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
