Solitude Mountain Resort
Cameron Johnson is an experienced outdoor professional currently serving as an Avalanche Mitigation Technician at Solitude Ski Resort since November 2016, where responsibilities include avalanche hazard forecasting, daily weather observations, and training staff in safety techniques. In addition, Cameron has held the role of Senior Ski Patroller at Solitude Mountain Resort since January 2013, focusing on avalanche mitigation, emergency care, and high-angle rope rescue. As an Instructor at the Wilderness Medicine Training Center since September 2015, Cameron teaches various medical courses, while also planning and leading experiential courses in mountaineering and rock climbing with the Northwest Outward Bound School since April 2013. Cameron holds a degree in Outdoor Recreation from the State University of New York Cortland and has completed training at the National Avalanche School.
