Lead Instructor Of Wilderness Medicine at SOLO Wilderness Medical School

Andrea Kane is a highly experienced professional in wilderness medicine and emergency medical training, currently serving as the Founder and Lead Instructor at Train NEK since March 2018, where custom courses are offered in first aid, CPR, and backcountry medicine. Additionally, Andrea has been a Lead Instructor of Wilderness Medicine at SOLO Wilderness Medical School since May 1999, while also working as a Freelance Writer since May 2007. Volunteer experience includes serving as a Volunteer EMT with "You can be one too!" since 1999. Previous leadership roles include Managing Director at KCP Presents Performing Arts from July 2014 to June 2016 and Co-Director of Outdoor Pursuits at Simon's Rock College of Bard. Andrea has also contributed as a Publications Committee Volunteer with the Green Mountain Club and as a Lead Instructor of Emergency Medicine for the UVM Initiative for Rural EMS. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Ethnic Studies from the University of Vermont and experience at Stovner Videregaende Skole in Oslo, Norway.
