Francesco Mozzati is a Principal and studio director in SCB’s San Francisco office, providing design leadership for the firm’s multifamily residential and mixed-use practice. As a studio director, Francesco is focused on fostering a collaborative, creative, and dynamic environment that is committed to design excellence. He is responsible for setting the vision and overseeing the development of complex projects from concept through completion.

Francesco’s work is noted for a strong understanding of the relationship between architecture and the public realm, and the impact that design can have on creating active and vibrant places. He is strongly influenced by context, which can be seen in recent projects such as Alloy, a mixed-use residential and office development in Los Angeles’ Arts District; Atlas, a luxury apartment tower in Oakland; and numerous high-rise residential projects in Honolulu, including the award-winning Anaha, a 39-story luxury condominium tower in the city’s Ward Village.

In addition to his work in the US, Francesco’s past experience working as an architect in Italy and Spain has given him a unique international understanding of the architectural industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy.
