Kelly Somers

Associate Principal, Chicago at SOLOMON, CORDWELL, BUENZ & ASSOCIATES, INC

As an Associate Principal and Senior Architect, Kelly Somers works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure the highest quality in the design, coordination, and execution of projects. Her collaborative and solution-focused approach to project management fosters strong team relationships and champions the core SCB values of innovative design and technical expertise throughout all phases of a project.

In her 14 years with SCB, Kelly has overseen projects in a variety of market sectors across the country, including high-rise residential, hospitality, commercial office, campus environments. Some of her most notable projects include The Laurel, a mixed-use luxury condominium high-rise on historic Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia; Hanover Boulevard Place, a mixed-use office and apartment tower in Houston; and The Summit at University City, a mixed-use retail, dining, and student housing high-rise on the campus of Drexel University.

Kelly is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She is also a LEED Accredited Professional and certified with NCARB. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame.
