Ronald Butu

Ronald Butu is a Mechanical Service Engineer at the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority since June 2017, responsible for overseeing maintenance and services of diesel generators with a total capacity of approximately 30MW, including resource allocation and scheduling. Prior to this role, Ronald served as a Production Manager at BAT Solomon Islands from August 2016 to June 2017, managing a secondary manufacturing team to achieve business goals. Ronald also worked as a Production Planner at the Solomon Islands Tobacco Company from September 2012 to August 2016, coordinating production plans with marketing demands using the SAP system. Earlier experience includes a position as a Production Assistant at Frangipani Ice Limited in 2012, focusing on quality assurance. Ronald holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of the South Pacific, attained from 2008 to 2011.
