Peter Weissman has extensive work experience in the healthcare and medical device industries. Peter started their career at Orquest in 1997 as a Marketing Manager/Manager of Corporate Communications, where they devised and implemented marketing and sales plans for a bone graft substitute product. In 2001, they joined Oratec Interventions as a Product Marketing Manager, responsible for managing marketing and sales support activities for the company's spine devices.
In 2002, Peter joined Smith & Nephew Endoscopy, first as a Director of Marketing for the Spine division, where they directed global marketing activities and developed direct-to-patient and physician marketing campaigns. Peter then became the Group Director of Marketing for Knee Repair, managing a global knee arthroscopy franchise and a $1 million expense budget. Their responsibilities included leading strategic planning, product development, and launches, as well as building key opinion leader relationships and managing trade shows.
In 2011, Peter became the Managing Partner at K2 Marketing, LLC, where they provided marketing services to medical device and life science companies. Peter led market research, product launches, business development, pricing studies, and comprehensive marketing support services to physician practices.
Peter's current role is as the Chief Operating Officer at SolTec Health since 2018, where they are involved in pioneering non-invasive technological innovations to improve sleep and reduce stress. Peter is responsible for overseeing operations and preparing for the commercial launch of the company's flagship sleep technology in 2022.
Peter Weissman attended Harvard University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing at Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. In addition to their formal education, Peter Weissman obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Media Relations from Muck Rack in June 2022.
