Andrew Styrcula has over 10 years of professional experience in the IT industry. Andrew began their career in 2010 as a Network Systems Administrator at the Center for Advanced Technology, where they presented the Electronic Hall-Pass System to the Microsoft board of directors and was part of the team that won first place in Microsoft’s Partners in Learning Global Forum in 2012 alongside Louis Zulli Jr. In 2014, they became a UX Designer and Lab Manager at the University of Central Florida, where they managed the equipment of the Advanced Design Laboratory and facilitated the use of 3D Design tools of UCF for professional use. In 2017, they took on the role of IT Security Engineer at Chargebacks911, where they were responsible for endpoint security and data security administration. In 2018, they began working as a DevOps Engineer at SOLUTE, where they were responsible for Kubernetes, Kustomize, Docker, and GitLab CI development, engineering mentoring, leadership, and automation, maintenance, and development of core systems for DevSecOps platforms. Andrew also has experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipeline development (CI/CD), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Satellite Server configuration, Ansible (YAML) development, Terraform (HCL) development, Jenkins (Groovy) pipeline configuration, plugins, and development, AWS development and administration, Consul, Nomad, and Vault usage and development, Packer templates and Anaconda kickstart development, Chef InSpec development, Robot Framework exposure and testing, OpenSCAP STIG automation and deployment, PostgreSQL 12 common data warehouse development and administration, EnterpriseDB Advanced Server database design and development, EnterpriseDB Tools, VMWare, vSphere, and VirtualBox, GitLab, Jira and Confluence administration, project tracking, and workflow optimization, Wiki development, workflow documentation, whitepaper briefing, and government-focused deliverable documentation, and Slack, Mattermost, RocketChat, and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication. In 2018, they also took on the role of Level 3 Systems Engineer at Icon.

Andrew Styrcula obtained their Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Central Florida between 2012 and 2017. In October 2019, they earned an EDB Certified Associate - Postgres Advanced Server 11 certification from EnterpriseDB.
