Edgar Santana

Edgar Santana is currently a Junior Web Developer at Solutions for Information Design. Edgar previously worked as an engineer for Honda R&D Americas, LLC and FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Santana's experience includes design and release engineering, responsible for coordination, design and packaging of tail gate, trunk and door components with closures team and other engineering groups to ensure vehicle standards and requirements until mass production release. Edgar has also worked on mockup evaluations for new parts to be used in prototypes, provided supplier support, negotiated technical items, cost and timing reviews with plant and engineering, delivered engineering reports and performed root cause analysis for potential or actual issues.

Santana has a background in designing vehicle body panels and mechanical assemblies in addition to metal, plastic and carbon fiber components. Edgar is skilled in advance surfacing design for stamped and plastic parts in Catia V5.

Edgar Santana has a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
