Jim Choate

Jim Choate is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Solutions Management Group since January 2023, Jim has previously held the positions of VP-CFO/COO at Kirkwood Community College from June 2006 to April 2023 and Managing Director of AER Finance at Alliant Energy from May 1999 to June 2006. Jim holds an MBA in Business from the University of Iowa, earned between 2007 and 2009, and a BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, obtained from 1982 to 1986.
