Urweshi Pillay

Urweshi Pillay is an experienced internal audit specialist with a career spanning over 15 years in various roles across multiple organizations. As the current Team Leader of Internal Audit at Solutions Plus UAE since February 2023, Urweshi leads and manages audit projects while employing risk-based audit techniques. Previous roles include Assistant Manager and Manager at BDO UAE and Senior Auditor at Moore Stephens Dubai. Prior experience also includes serving as Internal Audit Manager at the South African Reserve Bank and Senior Manager at the Auditor General of South Africa, focusing on compliance and performance reporting. Urweshi has earned multiple academic qualifications, including a Certified Internal Auditor designation and various degrees in accounting from the University of South Africa, supplemented by a High School Certificate from William Pescod Senior Secondary School.
