Lead Data Platform Engineer at Solvd

Franco Scagnetti has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and software development. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Functional Analyst for Buenos Aires City Government. Franco then moved on to roles as a Data Analyst and Data Engineer Project Manager within the Ministry of Health of the city of Buenos Aires. In these positions, they were responsible for data analysis, statistical reports, dashboards, geolocation, data mining, and automation of ETL processes.

In 2018, Scagnetti co-founded Coilean IT, where they worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer, gaining experience in project execution and involvement in all stages of a project's lifecycle.

Franco later worked as a Data Engineer at La Nacion, where they focused on the development and maintenance of ETL processes and the design and development of the BigQuery database.

Scagnetti then joined Santander Tecnología Argentina as a Data Engineer, where they were involved in the development and maintenance of ETL processes using Apache Airflow, Python, and the Spark framework.

After that, they worked as a Data Engineer at AWWCOR, Inc., developing data pipelines using various GCP tools such as IAM&Admin, Compute Engine, BigQuery, and DataFlow, among others.

Currently, Scagnetti is working as a Lead Data Platform Engineer at Solvd, Inc., where they design, develops, and maintains data pipelines built in Python that are consumed by the Marketing and Analytics team. These pipelines directly impact the company's metrics.

Franco Scagnetti attended Colegio Marianista from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained their high school diploma. From 2013 to 2018, they pursued a degree in Ingeniería en sistemas de información (Engineering in Information Systems) at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. In 2019, they completed a Data Science Summer School program at the University of Utah, focusing on Data Analysis.
