Christina Galang

Christina Galang has over 35 years of work experience in the field of scientific research. Currently, they are employed as a Scientist II at Solve Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at VelosBio Inc., a subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., where they held the role of Scientist II from October 2020 to June 2021. Before joining VelosBio, they worked as a Senior Research Associate at BioPhase, on assignment at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, from March 2020 to October 2020.

From 2016 to 2019, Christina worked as a Research Scientist at IDEAYA Biosciences. Prior to that, they held positions at GNF as Scientist II and Scientist I from 2007 to 2016, respectively. At GNF, they validated targets, developed assays, performed cell-based drug screening, identified small molecules and proteins, and contributed to experimental design and data analysis.

Before their time at GNF, Christina worked as a Scientist at Avanir Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they had an extensive tenure at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where they held the roles of Senior Research Assistant from 1993 to 2004 and Research Assistant from 1989 to 1993. Christina began their career as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of California, San Diego from 1986 to 1989.

Christina Galang pursued their education at UC San Diego, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in 1989.
