Sébastien Goudedranche

Project Leader, Process R&d, Process Optimization, Scale-up And ISO Kg-scale Production at Solvias

Sébastien Goudedranche, PhD's work experience includes various roles and positions in different organizations.

From 2017 to present, they worked at Solvias as a Project Leader in Process R&D, specializing in process optimization, scale-up, and ISO kg-scale production. Sébastien was responsible for managing R&D customer projects, including catalytic reactions and high-throughput experimentation for C-C and C-X cross couplings and pressure reactions.

In 2015 to 2017, Sébastien served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Geneva, where they focused on optimizing transition metal catalyzed reactions to unlock access to new functionalized pyrrolidines, pyrrolizidines, and pyrazoles.

In 2016, they briefly worked as an Assistant for the Bürgenstock Conference, an esteemed international chemistry meeting known as the "EUCHEM Conference on Stereochemistry."

Between 2011 and 2014, they pursued a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Université d'Aix-Marseille. Sébastien'sresearch primarily involved developing innovative syntheses for potentially bio-active molecules using organocatalysis and cascade reactions. Notably, their work on azepanes led to a collaboration with AnalytiCon, a German pharma company.

In 2011, Sébastien also completed a Master's degree training at the Université de Strasbourg, focusing on synthesizing building blocks for the total synthesis of Hoodigogenin A, a steroid compound with anti-appetant properties.

Additionally, in 2010, they completed Master's training at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where they worked on synthesizing Puromycin analogues for studying peptide bond formation and biosynthesis mechanisms.

Finally, in 2009, Sébastien gained early experience through a Bachelor's training program at the Université de Haute-Alsace - UHA.

Overall, Sébastien Goudedranche's work experience is characterized by their expertise in process R&D, optimization, and scale-up, as well as their contributions to the development of new catalytic reactions and synthesis methodologies.

Sébastien Goudedranche, PhD, has a strong educational background in chemistry. Sébastien obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics & Chemistry from the Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Sébastien then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry at the same institution, completing their studies in 2011. Goudedranche continued their education at Aix-Marseille University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Synthetic Organic Chemistry in 2014.
