Adam Semel

Adam Semel is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Managing Partner and Managing Director at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) since October 2005. Prior experience includes roles as Architectural Designer at William Rawn Associates, Architects and Architectural Intern at both Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Kennedy Violich Architecture. Adam began a career in architecture with an internship at the Office of Peter Rose. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from Wesleyan University, and a year studying Architecture through the Columbia University program focused on the Shape of Two Cities: New York / Paris. Adam's foundational education includes graduation from New Trier High School.
