Molly Smith

Molly Smith is a skilled professional with extensive experience in venture capital and environmental consulting. Currently serving as the Los Angeles Region Lead at Soma Capital since May 2023, Molly focuses on community building and scouting companies in climate, frontier, and biotech sectors. Molly also holds positions as a Venture Capital Investment Intern at Loeb.nyc and President of SEP at UCLA, the premier co-ed entrepreneurship fraternity. Previous experience includes roles as an Advisory Consulting Intern at Arup, conducting due diligence for major projects, and serving as a Venture Capital Scout at GenZScouts and H2 Ventures. Molly founded Bruin Vintage, an e-commerce business promoting sustainable vintage apparel, and has managed consulting projects to help companies reduce carbon footprints. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, with minors in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science and Entrepreneurship, at UCLA, Molly demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation in both professional and academic settings.
