Paulo José Mena Barreto de Andrade has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Paulo José began their career in 1986 as an Exploration Geologist for Anglo American. Paulo José then moved to Vale in 1992 as a Specialist Geologist - Informatics. In 1995, they became a Project Manager for Barrick Gold Corporation. In 1999, they were promoted to Senior Geologist & Exploration Manager - Peru at Vale. In 2004, they were hired as Chief Geologist for Nickel & Project Generator Senior Geologist for Copper at Codelco. That same year, they founded and became the Director of MBA GEO Exploração Mineral Ltda. In 2010, they were hired as Country Manager for Brazil at Stronghold Metals Inc. Finally, in 2011, they were hired as VP Exploration & Country Manager for Brazil at Para Resources Inc.

Paulo José Mena Barreto de Andrade completed a BSc. in Geology from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro between 1979 and 1984, with a focus in Exploration Geochemistry. Paulo José then went on to earn a Systems Analyst & Computer Programmer degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais between 1990 and 1992, with a focus in Informatics.
