Chad Hymel

Chad Hymel has an extensive work experience in supply chain management and materials management. Chad is currently the Director of Supply Chain at SomaLogic. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Supply Chain at Invitae. Chad also held the role of Materials Manager at Cambrex and Avista Pharma Solutions. At Novartis, they served as a Supply Chain Manager, Continuous Improvement and Planning, Supply Risk Manager, Operational Excellence Facilitator, and Industrial Engineer III/Planner. Before that, they were the Supply Chain Manager at DeTect. Chad began their career as a Process Engineer and later became a Program Manager at Peak Industries. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in procurement, inventory management, logistics, and project management.

Chad Hymel holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, which they completed from 1995 to 1998. Chad later pursued a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2000. Prior to their university education, they attended Florida College from 1993 to 1995, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree. On top of their educational background, Chad also possesses certifications in Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA) from the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) and Six Sigma Green Belt from Novartis.
